GPO do not applied on all machines

Hi dear WinServer 2008 gurus. I have a couple of problems on my server, and would like to get some help on this issues

First of all must say that all client computers and 2 DCs (WinServerEnterprise2008) are installed on VMWare. On a server I have 76 users divided inter several OUs, which belongs to main OU named “People” . Then, I have 5 client computers with WinXpSP3 installed. All client computer in 1 OU named “CompanyPCs”

First issue

Recently I created GPO with some desktop properties to prevent user to change some desktop settings.

  1.      One Wallpaper for all PCs
  2.      Disabling Screensaver

After running gpupdate  /force on all client machines, I got new policy applied on some of them. For example: MrSmith logs on to his account from PC1, and I see that GPO is applied. MrSmith MrSmith logs on to his account from PC2, but I can’t see any GPO applied here, and moreover, when I run GPRESULT, it says that no GPO were applied to this machine. Thus, when any user log on to his account from PC1, PC3, PC5 I see that GPO applied, but when it logs on from PC2 & PC4 no GPO applied.

CAN’T UNDERSTAND WHY?!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second Issue

I wanted to install software with .msi extension to all  5 client PCs & map 2 drives, but I couldn’t. I placed MozillaFireFox.MSI to a shared folder in “C” drive, created new GPO names “PSOpts” and linked it to “CompanyPCs” OU. I have 2 shared folders on “C” drive named Drive1 & Drive2 and both of them are shared. In “PSOpts” GPO on computer configPart I mapped ths drives to all PCs.. But I didn’t get any result.. Seems I made it correctly or at least I can’t find any error… But it doesn’t worked for me…

CAN’T UNDERSTAND WHY?!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Regards
