I am in the processes of updating to windows server 2012 from windows server 2008 and will be starting from scratch. I am going to be changing my domain address as well.
I use GPO to install programs in my office and was wondering how to handle the transfer with regards to GPO installations. If I have a program that is currently up to date, should I not create a GPO for that program until it comes time to update it? Or should I create a GPO with the latest version? I believe all my deployments are not setup to uninstall after leaving the scope so the programs I am installation should stay on the work stations as I change their domain membership.
