Hi
I am having trouble resolving an issue with group policy mapped drive preferences.
Here is my problem:
A user will come into the office with their laptop. 3 network drives will be mapped using group policy preferences. The policy is applied at the site level in group policy management. The user then goes home and logs onto the laptop. The laptop will take up to 3 minutes to log on. If a user manually deletes the mapped drives and then logs off the laptop and logs back on, the laptop will log on in a few seconds. This has made me believe the problem is with mapped drives still being applied once the user is out of the office.
I have added a "delete" as "order 1" in the mapped drive preference and set the item level target to work if the laptop isnot in the companies IP range. I have also set the other mapped drives with item level targetting to apply if the are in the companies IP range. Also the drives are set to not reconnect.
Do I need to do anything else to make the network drives delete because at the moment they are not deleting when out of the office.
Many Thanks
Steve
