GPO WMI Windows 10

Hi all! Getting right to it!

We're starting to test some win10 machines in a win7 environment. Unfortunately my experience with GPO's is fairly limited, but I at least have the policies in place to change/edit/mimic and have my wits about me. We use System Center Endpoint Protection on all our windows 7 computers and have a GPO to turn off Windows Defender. But I want to use Windows Defender on the Windows 10 machines that are in the same OU as win7 machines. If I create a WMI filter for Win10 machines and link it to a GPO that ONLY has Windows Defender enabled, will the machine still take on all the other GPO's? Or will all windows 10 machines ONLY get the one GPO for Windows Defender?

Basically, I just want to allow this one machine to have everything the win 7 machines have, plus windows defender without breaking down/duplicating all my my existing GPO's.
