Hello,
I created a default printer GPO:
User Configuration | Preferences | Control Panel Settings | Printer | New Shared Printer
There I set "Update" and "Set this printer as the default printer"
Tab card "Common" I set the targeting option to a dedicated DNS entry, cause I want to apply this only to one machine
Now the following happens, it the user logs in before the GPO applies, the shared printer is the default, but just seconds later a cmd box appears (guess the GPO applies right at this time) and no printer is set as default.
I also tried "Replace", "Create" but nothing work, shared printer is not the default print.
I tried then to set the interval "User Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Group Policy\Group Policy refresh interval for users" to 1 minute. Now the behavior is the following:
After login, the default printer is set for e few seconds, then no printer is the default, but after a minute the shared printer is default again and stays default.
Now the important question, how do I get the shared printer staying as default without setting the interval for group polica refresh to 1 minute?
