Hi Everyone,
I run a school network which we are trying to standardize on windows 10, however because of time, resources and age of equipment, it is not be possible to migrate all users from windows 7 to windows 10 in a half term. This means that we will have to tun a hybrid network for the moment.
The problem I have, is that there are old user policies in place that work on windows 7, that do not work on windows 10 (windows 10 PC hangs on login). Because the policies are user policies, the users are in the same "student" OU. I am trying to see if there is a way of blocking the windows 7 restriction policy from applying on windows 10.
Obviously if i could have everyone using windows 10 and delete all old policies would be great, but its not possible. I am also open to alternate solutions like moving to azure ad.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
TC
