Hi,
I have a Software Installation GPO that installed a piece of software (obviously) and I removed the destination to .msi and then deleted the GPO! Little did I know that there was a way to do this properly.
The issue I am experiencing now is that PCs with the GPO applied to it (even though it's removed from Group Policy Management) still tries to install on login (except the file doesn't exist and so it cannot actually install anything, but tries anyway saying that it cannot find the file).
I really don't know how to remove the group policy from applying. It was set to install as a User policy (meaning it installs after login instead of Computer start up).
What I have tried is to recreate the policy with the exact file path and file name and then try to uinstall the software via the right click package in the GPO > Tasks.. > Remove > Uninstall from PCs.
Unfortunately this has not worked out too well and I really need to remove this from our PCs as it is prompting users every time they log in!
Any help is appreciated :)
Thanks
