Hello,
First off, I am not sure if this question is being asked in the correct location or not. If not, I apologize.
I am a bit of a novice with Active Directory and Group Policy and am having an issue with different user experiences when logging on the to same device. We are imaging computers using SCCM and Windows 10 Enterprise along with a number of other applications. These computers are being imaged for a school district so there are many of them given to students, staff and faculty. The problem we are having is that the image will work fine for any user that logs into one device (laptop, desktop, etc...), but then on another device the functionality changes per users.
Example:
I can log into Computer A and have everything work as normal (start menu, search functions of Cortana, activation of Office, OneDrive Mapping services etc...). Then my co-worker or the user the computer is intended for logs in to the same computer and receives a different experience, the start menu is unresponsive, the search functions of Cortana do not work to search for files or applications, OneDrive will not Map, Office will open as an unlicensed product, etc....
I came into this position having most of Active Directory, Group Policy and SCCM Task Sequences already made so I am struggling to find out where the disconnect is and why it changes per user on the same computer. I am not sure if this set per user as a group policy or if it is an issue with the image itself even though it works on other computers just fine. All Users are under either "Staff" or "Student".
What potentially would cause this to happen?
Any assistance provided would be grateful!
Thank you for your time and help.
Brian
