We recently did a Win2k3 upgrade to Win2k12 and have been having intermittent folder redirection issues - some days they work and the next day they may not work for the user. No real pattern.
Details:
- Domain & Forest Level are 2008 R2
- All 2 DC's are now Win2k12 (all Win2k3 DC's have been demoted with no issues)
- Mostly Win7 clients (that are patched / updated often) and a couple XP
- Redirection is done from the Default Domain GPO
- Redirection used to work fine prior to the Win2k12 upgrade
- New file server for the users is Win2k12 (was Win2k3 before)
- Some users work fine and others that are in that users OU fail
- Just the desktop and My Doc's are being redirected
- Any other GPO settings work fine for all the users (all the time)
- The users have proper permissions to the UNC path they are mapping to
- We have seen this message once in a while in GP Results: Folder Redirection did not complete policy processing because the user needs to log on again for the settings to be applied
- Nothing really jumping out in the event logs
Any hints are appreciated on this as I can't find much in the forums with Win2k12 folder redirection and wonder if it might be on the WKS side?
