Block NEW USB Pen-Drive Access to Single Office Computer

Hello All,

I know enough and more threads have been started in this regard, yet I am unable to get around the issue of blocking 'NEW' and 'UNUSED' pen-drives on my single office computer which is accessed by multiple users and carries sensitive data. I apologize for adding on to the repetitiveness of this topic, yet I request and welcome any help in this regard as the matter is of grave importance to the security of my data.

I successfully blocked 'EXISTING' usb drives used on this computer with the help of "grouppolicy.biz/2010/02/how-to-use-group-policy-to-disable-usb-drives-on-windows-xp/" link to which I obtained from one of the threads on this website.

For 'NEW' and 'UNUSED' drives ---- As it turns out, I have located the (i) USBSTOR.inf and (ii) USBSTOR.pnf files. But I am unable to find any 'SECURITY' settings tab on "right-click>PROPERTIES" of these files. I do not know how else to get to the Security settings of these files as "CONTROL PANEL>ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS" has led me to no where either.

I know this for a fact because after blocking the existing drives, I inserted a new USB drive and it installed and worked without a glitch.

Any help on this subject is welcome.

Regards.
