I am no GPO guru but with the guides and tech-notes I have read and pieced together a GPO to keep our public users from some of the basic functions with in the OS (win7) then on the back-end having deep freeze revert any possible changes done get cleared from a reboot, we run a VDI setup with VMware view.
Our VDI needs some work as the OS boot time is around 8 minutes from the users end session to the zero client fully loading up at the available screen. Which from this we removed the reboot on session end... Not the best for our users
since they do work on personal data and only one reboot at night doesn't fit well with upper management.
My question for the Desktop admins what might be your setup for blocking users to save to the system? Reverting changes with in the OS and Office?
Any advice or suggestions would be great.
thanks!
