Good afternoon.
I have deployed a WSUS server into our environment which is Server 2016. Our Domain Controllers are 2008R2
We are having very little joy with the WSUS group policies we are setting to update our Windows 10 workstations.
The policy is really quite simple. we are using Configure Automatic Updates, with option 4 - Auto download and schedule the install. This at 0 - Every day, Scheduled install time is 15:00
We are also using Always automatically restart at the scheduled time, specify intranet Microsoft update service locationto our WSUS server & Automatic Updates detection frequency to an hour.
If i run an RSOP this looks absolutely fine, however the only policy that seems to work at all is the frequency check and the WSUS server re-direct.
It does not automatically install the updates, and it does not reboot.
Is this beyond the scope to ask Server 2008 to push these requirements onto Windows 10 workstations, or am i just going wrong somewhere. Between myself and my colleague we are unable to force the updates to install automatically.
Thanks for any help. Steve
