I want Edge address bar searches to use Google search using a GPO.
I have set the default search engine using a GPO to "https://www.google.com". I confirmed the policy was applied using RSoP and I can see that it updated the registry value HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\MicrosoftEdge\OpenSearch\SetDefaultSearchEngine to "https://www.google.com". It also shows up in Edge's available search engines but it is not set as the default.
Simply put, the policy will add the Google search engine to Edge but it does not make it the default search engine.
What do I need to do to make it the default search engine using a GPO?
If there is no GPO setting, anyone know how to set it as the default in the registry?
