We replaced a Domain Controller(DC) and bought a Second one and now the Group Policy Replication seems broken on JUST the Domain Controllers. So Group Policy Syncs on the domain (as in the GPOs update between the DCs in the SYSVOL Folder and are applied
to clients) but those GPOs are then Never Applied to the DCs.
I created a DFS Replication Health Report and it indicates that it cannot communicate with the DC that we Decommissioned and that the 2 new DCs are "awaiting initial replication"
This gives me the impression that the current DCs are awaiting a replication with our old DC which for obvious reasons it cannot do.
Forums suggested using ADSI Edit to change the Primary Member of the Replication Group but were rather unclear about which DN to connect to in order to find that attribute.
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated :)
