Gpupdate stuck on updating policy

Greetings,

I recently noticed that on some servers when running gpupdate the policy update is stuck on 'updating policy...'.

It does update user policy when logging on but it never updates the computer policy.

There are multiple errors in the group policy operational log every time it automatically tries to apply group policy but the only info in the event log entry is ErrorCode 19.

Any ideas? DO I need to clean out files or registry settings?
