I am trying to use group policy to deploy Symantec.cloud. I have followed all documentation provided by Symantec and all guides found through Technet. I am doing so in a test environment currently. There is one Windows Server 2008 DC pushing out the GPs
to Windows 7 Pro Clients. I have placed the .msi package as well as associated mst and executable in the \\servername\sysvol\domain_name\Policies\Unique_ID\Machine\Applications directory. The GP points to the share location as opposed to a local file location.
The GP is linked to the entire domain and security filtering includes authenticated users, and domain computers. It seems as though the workstations are applying the GPs however the software is not installed. When I run rsop.msc it shows an error under computer
configuration saying "Group Policy Infrastructure failed due to the error listed below. The specified server cannot perform the requested operation." All attempts to reach the DC both with IP and host name are successful. Any ideas or troubleshooting
steps are welcome. Thank you in advance.
