Is it possible to set "Log on" account in a service properties via group policy?

Hi,

I've recently upgraded an application for one of our customers. There is a local account with admin rights used to start the application specific services. When this application was installed originally the password was not recorded for this account and part of the upgrade process asked for this password, so I had to reset it to progress the install. This worked fine, I was able to restart services etc with out issue. However as soon as I run a "gpupdate" I get an authentication error when trying to restart/start the services that use this account. To resolve this I have to manually edit the password for the account which works temporarily until the next gpupdate is ran.

This is a Windows Server 2003 environment. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Cheers,

Nigel
