Hello everyone.
I just wanted to try and confirm an issue i am having.
I have "inherited" a system that has been through a couple of technicians who have failed and botched a couple of thigs up.
I have got folder re direction working and is fine for most part.
However, There are some odd things happening.
So within group policy Management i have one group policy (users Policy new)
If i then edit that and go to User config/windows settings/folder Redirection
Right click on the desktop and click properties.... within that i have two security groups showing.
(domain)\My Documents and Desktop Folder Redirection ........ Path\\server\users$\%USERNAME%\DESKTOP
and
(domain)\My Documents and Desktop Local Redirection ........ Path %USERPROFILE%\Desktop
I have got Advanced - Specify Locations for Various Groups setting
Its the same with my Documents folder re direction
SO, the problem i have is,
when an engineer comes back into the office after being away and logs onto the domain, they have the "My Documents and DesktopLOCAL Redirection" membership on their user account the laptop files are being over written by the server copy.
Can anyone help please.
Thanks
Paul
