Hi all girls and guys here...
Just wanted to say goodbye to all of you.
I've been participating in this forum since 2009, and I cannot count the number of replies I contributet - in the last 12 months, at least, it was high above 2.000. And maybe, some of you have rated one or another of this posts as an answer for your questions or at least as a helpful post.
MSFT in their infinite wisdom recently not only decided to redesign the web interface, thus rendering it almost unusable for power users like me. But in addition, to make sure we are shot dead, they shut down the NNTP bridge that gave us the availability to monitor dozends of forums within a few minutes of work per day by using a newsreader like Thunderbird or Fortitude.
If you are interested in how power users rate this approach of MSFT, visit these threads:

Since I'm not willing to use the clumsy web interface for several hours a day just to keep up, and since there's no reaction of MSFT about how they plan to support us power users, I'm heading to new places where live is worth living and heavy contributors are more welcome than here.
Have a nice day, and R.I.P. forums!
Martin
