Okay, so my boss very simply wants me to block Facebook and MySpace from volunteers and clients using our network. I found out that Microsoft has completely taken away all GPO methods of doing this.
Can anyone point out a simple way to deploy proxy settings from Windows Server 2012 Standard to Windows 7 client machines WITHOUT having to go to every client machine to configure this? I tried a couple of client machines with my own logon, but when another user logged on, the proxy settings would not hold for them, so it appears that this is user based.
Why in the bloody heck did Microsoft take out the ability to change Proxy settings via GPO???
Also, I tried out a great looking download called IEAK10. I figured it would be my solution, but it is not. I created a configuration file with it, but I am not an engineer so I have NO idea how to force this file onto the other users on the network. Is there no way to deploy this setting using only GPO any more???
