I have an issue which at the moment is just on my test machine -- I want to roll this out to my local domain but this appears to be a known issue with some form of resolution, which hasn't worked for me.
I'm using Windows Server 2003 SP2 and I have installed the Group Policy Preferences on my Vista Business machine (I understand this is the only way it's possible with Server 2003). I've successfully set up the mapped drives and they work fine for each user within a security group.
However, when I initially log on, the drives won't appear. I then log off, back on and then they appear. If I log off again and back on, they're gone! It is the way that they only appear every-other log in.
I've done the recommended solution of adding to the Group Policy (Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon\Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon) but that doesn't appeared to have had an effect (I understand that this all takes time for replication).
Has anyone had a similar issue and found a solution?
