First post here folks. I often come here to search for info. It really seems like there are quite a few knowledgeable people in these forums. Any help you can give or point me towards would be greatly appreciated. I have done extensive searching on line for an answer and nothing seems to work.
I have a local AD domain. On this domain I have two DC's DC1 is the main DC and hosts AD, DNS and DHCP. DC2 is the backup DC on the network and hosts AD and DNS. I first noticed the problem a month ago when I added a new GP to force windows update. As soon as I added the new policy, every computer in the building including DC2 started throwing 1030 and 1058 errors. When I investigated further I found that the sysvol on DC1 contained 7 policy objects and DC2 only contained 6. So, in short, the GP is not propagating from DC1 to DC2. AD seems to copy OK. I assume I have some kind of DNS issue. I've checked permissions and everything seems fine. I look at the FRS logs and there are no errors in there. Yet, as soon as I blow away GP #7 everything starts working again, the policies are pushed out correctly, the 1030/1058 errors go away. I'm not sure what to try to see why this is not working correctly. Here is the dcdiag from DC2 with the glue records errors. Please help.
