Group Policy Preferences Copy files

Hi,

I've set up a test GPP with the 'Files' replace option that replaces a file (Powerpoint template) under c:\users\%username%\appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates called Blank.potx with an updated template with the same name. The GPP works perfectly.

I need to role this GPP to all users in the company. Now, the problem is, 80% of our users are remote users using VPN, and we need to keep a track of which users' Powerpoint template has been replaced. Unfortunately you cannot set up logging on this GPP setting. Is there another way I can keep a log on which users Powerpoint template has been replaced with the new one?
