i have strange and frustrating problem.
I have been using GP prefrences to deploy files and create shortcuts with item level targeting security groups.
Its worked for years, but all of a sudden none of windows 7 computers seemed to apply the policy.
after enabling tracing i have discovered that they actually are aware of the policy, but the computer is unable to verify that they should apply the policy. The log has the following output:

i have searched and searched for solutions to this problem, have found several hot fixes, most dont apply to my clients and the few that do have had no effect so far.
The problem is isolated to windows 7, windows XP and 8 have no problems.
any one have a suggestion to how i fix this.
