GPO's 1 big gpo or lots of small gpo's?

Hi,

which is better 1 big gpo or lots of small gpo's? personally I'd prefer 1 GPO [computer and user settings] with other GPO's when needed i.e. exceptions like different business unit.

using 2008R2, mpls links and circa 2500 clients.
