Affect of Updating inetres.admx on Existing Internet Explorer 9

Hi,

We have a 2008 R2 server which we use to modify group policy for our domain.

We currently have Internet Explorer 9 deployed to our Windows 7 and 2008 R2 RDS servers and have a GPO assigned which contains IEM settings.

I wish to begin deploying Internet Explorer 10 to some pilot users and understand IEM is no longer available.

So I'm looking to update the inetres.admx admin template in my domain to configure our required security settings which are defined in IEM.

Will updating this admin template affect the machines with Internet Explorer 9 installed? Specificallly the security settings?

I believe the settings in the IE9 GPO will not be affected by the template update however you will no longer be able to see the IEM settings in GP Editor.
