Server 2012 / Windows 8 just ignores GPO settings

My setup is as follows:
Servers – Server 2012 (Native)
Clients – Windows 8 Pro

I’ve set folder redirection up for both students and teachers. Group policy is ignoring every setting set in “User Configuration -> Windows Settings” for all my users. I run the Group Policy Results Wizard on an affected computer and it doesn’t even show Folder Redirection as a policy that it attempted to apply, so there is no error for me to give you.

I have tried several things that I found on the internet so far. I’ve used the FQDN of the file server, checked that DNS was setup and working properly, even tried using \\ip.address\share just in case. I have also checked the folder permissions for the share to make sure that wasn’t an issue. I believe my issue is with Group Policy itself since it doesn’t even show as an attempted policy in the results wizard. The only thing I find in the GP Results is “A fast link was detected” in the summary tab.

I’m eternally grateful for any assistance I can get.

Eric
