Hi,
I have an OU with one object in it - a security group. Everyone that needs this logon script to be applied (a simple batch file), is a member of that security group, myself included
The OU is linked to a GPO which has just one thing set - the logon script.
In the GPO scope->Links, the location is the OU, it's enforced, & the link is active.
In the GPO scope->Security Filtering, the only entry is 'Authenticated Users', which every member of the security group is.
The bat file to be run was copied into the SYSVOL folder for the policy, and added to the GPO's Users' Windows Settings->Scripts->Logon section by browsing & choosing the file from the profile's folder (the default).
When I run gpresult on my machine, in the 'User Settings' section, the GPO is not listed under 'Applied Group Policy Objects', it was not filtered out, and I am listed as being a member of the security group that resides in the OU that the policy is linked
to.
The only thing that looks wrong to me, but I don't know whether it's just the way things work, is that in the 'gpresult' output, 'Authenticated Users' is not listed as one of the security groups that I am a member of. Should it be?
(I tried adding 'EWP Users' to GPO scope->Security Filtering, but that made no difference at all.)
Does anyone have any idea what could be stopping this bat file from being run when I log in please?
This is driving me nuts...
Many thanks.
