Hi,
I deploy software using .msi files via Group Policy and it works very well for almost all of our machines. However, there are two laptops which fail to process GP when connected to the domain using a wireless connection.
Checking the group policy results for the culprit machines after they reboot (and therefore refreshing GP), I have noticed that Group Policy Infrastructure fails saying that "Group Policy Infrastructure Failed due to the error listed below: The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted". However, if I disable the wireless connection and instead connect up using an ethernet cable, run gpupdate /force, restart the machine, and re-query the GP results on the server, everything tells me that GP ran fine (no problems reported in GP results and the software has successfully deployed as it should).
Both laptops do exactly the same thing, and both are completely different manufactures with completely different wireless adaptors. All other laptops process GP with no problems using wireless connectivity. I have tried removing and re-adding the computers to the domain to no avail. Ofcourse I can workaround this problem and get my users to use ethernet cables, but it would be much better if I could find a fix. Can anyone please shed any light on this?
Thanks :)
