We have a user who's folder redirection setting will not change. We just migrated servers and I changed the GPO setting from\\oldserver\users to \\newserver\users but when the user logins, it errors out with: \\oldserver\users\domainuseraccount\My Documents is not available. I logged into another workstation with his account and the setting took place, so it seems to only be on his existing computer where the policy was already applied to (with the old server path as noted above). Any suggestions apart from blowing away his profile? Is there away I can remove the My Documents folder from the start menu and then recreate it on the Start menu in hopes that it will take the new setting?
Also, when I run an RSOP I see that it is not getting the new setting on his computer, which is bizarre. I have rebooted, ran a gpudate /force, but the setting will not change.
