I've configured a GPO from my Windows 7 machine by using the RSAT. In the GPO computer configuration preferences section, I've created a custom power plan, given it a unique name, set its action to "Replace", and set it as the active power plan. It is the only power plan configured in the GPO.
I've run a gpupdate /force on a Windows 7 client machine in an OU where this GPO is applied and then rebooted the machine. When I view power options now on the client, I see the "Balanced (recommended)" plan set as active and my custom power plan listed but not set as active.
Why is the custom power plan not set as active?
