Problem: Users who are using windows 7 and are not domain admins are having some of their "user folders" redirect.
We currently are not using group policy to redirect any user’s local folders such as my videos, my pictures. Each user does have a personal "u" drive that is mapped by their domain username through script at logon. So when Jane Doe logs in with her user name of jdoe, she will be mapped to the jdoe folder and that is what we call her "u" drive. We do map other dives through group policy such as the company "public" drive and we have not experienced said problem. I think our problem has something to do with the u drive being named the same as the username but I am not sure.
I have found that the problem started when we moved from 2000 functionality to full 2008 r2.
As far as I can tell this does not affect anyone using an XP computer and our domain Admins do not have this problem when logging on to a windows 7 computer.
