Denied Creator/Owner access to GPO by mistake, now policy has gone!

Hi. I'm fairly new to group policy, and server 2012, but this was a mistake that happened when in a rush and I don't know how to correct it.

I was in the delegation tab of a GPO and had added a user with read permissions.

I wanted to exclude that user from the policy, so I highlighted the account and clicked on advanced

This next step is where I went wrong, when the advanced window opened, I didn't re-select the account before changing the permissions from read to deny all.  The first account to appear selected is Creator/Owner, so I ended up excluding this account from the policy.

A couple of warning messages later after hitting OK, and the GPO has vanished!

I know the policy is still being applied to users, thankfully, but how do I go about retrieving it in order to manage it again?

Any help is much appreciated.

   ** Just a thought...

As I had edited the policy, I believe my account will have become a member of the owners of the policy, therefore I denied myself. Others who noticed that the policy had vanished has also edited the same policy at some time.

Is it possible I just need to log on to the server and view group policy as a user that hasn't edited the same policy, them correct the permissions for Creator\Owner?

I'm not at the server or I would've tried that instead of thinking out loud :)
