I successfully rolled out a java update with GPO software update from the computer GPO section. My question is I uninstalled java from the test pc with the expectation it would re-install it again after a reboot. I can see from the control panel that the pc still thinks its installed because it is still listed under add/remove programs. Upon navigating to the folder where Java is installed the jre7 folder is blank. Can I simply go into the registry and pull it out the product code to get Group policy to re-install ? I'm testing worse case scenarios like if the user turns off the machine during install or someone from help desk uninstalls it I want to know what will happen. Any tips would be appreciated.
My group policy settings are as follows:
Under Computer configuration / Software / Assigned Applications
Java 9
Deployment type: assigned
Ignore Lang: Enabled
Make this 32bit app avail for 64: Disabled
Include OLE: Enabled
Thanks
