Running an SBS2008 network with Group Policies used to restrict which websites accessible to users (whitelist only). All going well until new laptops with Win7 and IE9 put onto system. Group Policy now only partially applied. Applies favourites and URLs but does not enforce content restriction (not enabled).
Have looked at server (2008) in GP edit suite. It knows NOTHING about IE8 or IE9! I even got in amongst the internetsettings and upped the max version to 10.0.0.0 but the policy is still not applying. I did see the hotfix for Server2008R2/Win7 but this does not apply to this system.
What to do? This leaves a massive security hole in the system.
