We are testing a new PC for deployment with Windows 7 x86 Enterprise. The PC is a HP Pro 3500 with a 64GB SSD drive running the Operating system. Our backend is Windows Server 2008 R2 with 2 separate GPOs one for computer settings and one for user settings. The problem i am getting is from a cold boot of the PC and then a login with a user, not all of the GPO settings are applying, as an example mapped drives which are set in the User GPO under Preferences are not appearing, also some copied files are not appearing again this is in the Users GPO as a preference setting. If i log out and back in all the settings are applied. It seems to me like the PC is booting and loading Windows faster than the GPOs can be applied?
I have enabled the the following setting: computer configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\System\Logon\Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon but this has made no difference.
On an older HP DX2400 with a normal SATA HDD and the same image with Windows 7 Enterprise and the same user logging in doesn't have any problems and all GPOs are applied.
Has anyone had this problem and how do i make sure all the GPOs are applied.
