Hello Everyone,

I have setup a branch in SC to join our domain in NY over VPN Gateway-to-Gateway. The network id for the brach in SC is 192.168.3.0/24. Each workstation have the Preferred DNS pointing to my Domain Controller with IP 192.168.1.172 and the secondary DNS is the SC router's IP 192.168.3.1 The network id in NY is 192.168.1.0/24. The workstation in SC are getting GroupPolicy errors. Here are the errors from the event manager:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Event ID:      1055

Task Category: None

Level:         Error

Keywords:

User:          SYSTEM

Computer:      SOCAL-04.daynite.local

Description:

The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not resolve the computer name. This could be caused by one of more of the following:

a) Name Resolution failure on the current domain controller.

b) Active Directory Replication Latency (an account created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Event ID:      1030

Task Category: None

Level:         Error

Keywords:

User:          DAYNITE\mreichel

Computer:      SOCAL-04.daynite.local

Description:

The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to retrieve new Group Policy settings for this user or computer. Look in the details tab for error code and description. Windows will automatically retry this operation at the next refresh cycle. Computers joined to the domain must have proper name resolution and network connectivity to a domain controller for discovery of new Group Policy objects and settings. An event will be logged when Group Policy is successful.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also added a persistence route to each workstation for NY's network 192.168.1.0 mask 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.1.2 (router's ip in ny) but still getting the errors above. I do not know what the problem is and what else to do. I hope somebody can help me to fix this problem.

Thank you in advance,
