I am having problems with Administrators who RDP to a server takes a long time to get to the desktop . The only thing I think we can see that might be causing this long delay is group policy we still cannot determine the RCA within the policy that might be causing it if it is a policy issue . This only happens if you are in the administrator group .
We currently run VMware all servers seem to have this problem sometimes its it will work fine but most of the time it will take a long time to logon .
One of the event logs is showing this
The winlogon notification subscriber <GPClient> took 130 second(s) to handle the notification event (Logon).
I am pretty convinced at this point that the problem is directly related to GPO processing, and specifically when it is applying WMI filters. any thoughts ?
I have applied a few MS hotfixes
