Folder Redirection & Recycle Bin (add recycle bin location)

I'm trying to add a custom Recycle Bin location, but have been unsuccessful so far. We have folder redirection enabled where “Documents” refers to: \\somefileserver\user1 but we also map it as their X-drive via. a logon script “net use x:  %homeshare% /home”

When a user navigates to the share by pressing “Documents” and deletes a file, that file is stored in the local recycle bin, BUT if the user goes to their X-drive and deletes a file the file is NOT stored in the local recycle bin. Even though it’s the same share the X-drive isn’t seen as one of the redirected folders and thus not added to the “Recycle Bin Location”.

I want to add this recycle behaviour to the X-drive as users are complaining that sometimes they can recover their deleted files, but sometimes they can’t (depending on which way they navigated to the share).

The recycle bin locations is stored in registry: HKCU\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\bitbucket

It seems that “Volume” key consists of physical drivers you have or once had connected to your machine. “KnownFolder” key is a list of the current folders you are using in folder redirection with their GUIDs – here’s the list of the GUIDs that can be used. Then there’s the “LastEnum” value which is overwritten every time you look at the properties of your recycle bin.

Can somebody help me to add a mapped network drive to the Recycle Bin Location? So far I’ve been unsuccessful just fiddling around in the registry.

In advance: Sorry...
