Can I copy a Server 2003 Default Domain Policy to a new Server 2012 Domain

Hi,

I am putting up a test Windows 2012 Active Directory Domain.  I would like to copy the "Default Domain Policy" from our Production Windows Server 2003 Domain and either paste or import it into my new 2012 Test Domain to use it as a baseline.  Is this possible?

I'm not sure you can do this from 2003 to 2012 domains. I also am hesitant to copy or export the "Default Domain Policy" for fear that it may jeopardize its functionality in it current 2003 environment.  I'm probably being paranoid but.. I do realize that any copy or import would reduce the amount of work and also the possibility for error if I manually copy the policy rules.

Any suggestions or links would be great.
