However, I never got distracted with something that took priority and have only managed to get back to this now.
Richard has kindly suggested using PowerShell and provided examples. The two issues I have are:
1.) Quest AD cmdlet tools would need to be installed on all desktops before the script is run
2.) The security context the script is run in
Regarding 1, these are going to be pool VMs that are composed from a golden image so installation overhead is not an issue. I would rather just not have extra comandelts in my desktop VMs - call me paranoid.
Regarding 2, and this is my real problem, the VMs will be recomposed weekly. So, the idea of adding the computer accounts to a group that has access to the scripts share after being joined to the domain is not going to work as I would have to manually do this after they had been created and joined to domain - I might as well just move them to the OU manually. Pointless. I don't want to store credentials in a text file, especially an admin password, so RUNAS seems to be out of the picture.
Please help!!! This is driving me a little nuts.
