Preventing registry changes in internet explorer

Hi,

We've had some users struggling with internet explorer and restrictions. Basicly HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions have many entries which prevents the user from doing anything in the browser like closing tabs, closing the window itself and so on. (Probably malware)
Deleting those fixes the problem, but those entries should never haven gotten there in the first place.

So a solution ive thought of would be to restrict access to this registry path through group policy.

Computer Configuration - Window Settings - Security Settings - Registry

Allows me to set a path in the registry which i can set permissions for which is perfect for my solution as i can set read only rights for the Restrictions folder. Only problem is, Group Policy stops at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\

There is no Internet Explorer\Restrictions folder in the Registry setting.

Any advice ?
