Server 2008 gpupdate failure

Hello,

noob here, so bear with me if i'm being unclear. Problem: I have the following setup: computer 1(DCsrv1) has Server 2008 installed, plus 2* server 2008 as virtual machines. Roles are DC, DNS, DHCP, hyper-V andf Wsus. This setup is strictly for study purposes, on a separate subnet, and has no internet access.

I installed another server, named Forw1 (also 2008 enterprise), joined it to the domain, and installed the Network policy end Access services role. This server thus acts as router for the other servers (adding a second NIC to comp 1 would have been easier, I know, but just isn't possible (don't ask)). Works fine, all servers have internet access.

Here's the problem: I want to use a GPO to configure all servers to look to Dcsrv1 for updates. On both VM´s this went well, but on Forw1 Gpupdate fails with error code 1030 for both computer and user. Searched the nets high and low, found no answer. Forw1 can reach Sysvol on Dcsrv1, so it has access to the GPO, right?

Any ideas as to the cause of this are most welcome.

Greetings, Bart.
