We have a user that has reached his limit on joining machines to the domain. He is in a helpdesk role and we need to give him the ability to add machines to the domain. We have added his user account to the "Add workstations to domain" policy at the default domain level but it has no effect.
Is this policy not being applied to his account because he has already reached the 10 machine limit?
We would like to control this via the policy. I am aware of adding his account to the "computers" OU with the proper permissions, and maybe this is required as well. I assumed this policy alone with give the user the proper permissions.
Any details is appreciated.
