Removing file redirection back to local profile

Hello,

We have file redirection setup on network to remote file redirection using the users\policies\windows settings\folder redirection.

I would like to remove this policy and have each folder point back to it's original location.  I know under each folders properties in settings there is a "redirect the folder back to the local userprofile location when policy is removed". 

However I am not sure if this actually moves the contents back or just the folder path?  How can I moved the whole redirected folder location AND contents back to original local profile?
