Hi there,
I've recently pushed a SRP with Disallowed level on a computer level to lock users down. I've also pushed SRP with Unrestricted level on a user level but this only applies to domain admins and administrators, so that admins could have full control over machines.
After the policy kicked in, users are indeed locked and cannot execute suspicious files and screw around with settings. Admins have full control as intended.
However, now when normal users print, all prints come out with gibberish at the top page, whole bunch of characters.
Even if I open "Printing Preferences" of the printer, settings/icons are missing as if properties could not be loaded properly.
If I were to add the user to Local Administrators' group, which i do NOT want, or login as an admin the user is able to print fine and Printing Preferences page looks good. It is clearly a permissions issue.
I checked the shared printer's security on the print server and "Everyone" has "print" permissions which is normal.
To complicate things, i have another shared printer on the print server which users are able to print just fine, even though the settings on the print server look identical to the problematic shared printer.
Can anyone please give me an idea where I can lookup/change permissions for this issue?
