Applying Windows server 2008 group policies to windows 8

Hello there,

I wanna confirm if the 2008 server group policy is applicable on windows 8 or not?

We have a current windows 2008 server running with group policies that are working fine on XP, but they are not applied AT ALL on windows 8 machine. Is there something missing ? btw they are on the same domain.
