I'm not quite sure if this question belongs here.
In our environment we have roaming profiles and folder redirection configured via roaming profiles. Recently we decided to folder redirect AppData mainly because of extremely slow logon/logoff for my remote users. Redirecting AppData fixed the problem for all my remote users.
I noticed that many profiles can grow extremely large due to fact that applications write files to AppData, and this gets sync'ed up to our roaming profiles share. My question is: is there a way to restrict or limit applications that write to AppData? Perhaps is there a way to get a list allowed to write to AppData instead?
Setting size limits to our roaming profiles is out of the question.
