I have Windows 2008R2 DC's and Windows 7 SP1 clients at two separate locations. I am using group policy to deploy shared printers to computer objects and GP preferences to set user object default printer. The computer policy works fine and the shared printers are deployed correctly to each computer. But the default printer user preference fails with "Failure (Error Code: 0x8007000a)" or "Failure (Error Code: 0x80070709)" as displayed when I use the GP settings wizard to view the user and computer settings. The code is different depending on which domain I am testing, but the result is the same.
