Group Policy Preference - "Delete" mapped drive temporarily

Hi,

I want to "Delete" a mapped drive temporarily for all users for a month and only have it appear for a few select group of users during this time. The drive is currently being mapped using Group Policy Preferences with the "Update" action option. However, I've read that Group Policy preferences can get tattooed and my fear is that after one month when i delete the "Delete" action option in the GPO this setting will still stay there in the users profile. Is that true?

I was hoping to follow:

1. Setup "Delete" action with order 1 so that drive gets deleted for all users
2. Modify current drive mapping with item-level targetting so that only a particular group sees it and set this to order 2
3. After one month delete the "Delete" action option and remove item-level targetting from step 2 so that all users get the mapped drive back

But for the above i need to be sure that when I remove the "Delete" option from the GPO it will not linger on (tattoo) for the users even after it has been removed.

Can someone please confirm if Delete will be tattooed for the users even after removal? Ideas/thoughts? Thanks

Parm
